Xytech Platform 2024 Release - Known Issues - 10.6.SP-4 – Fabric Help Center

Introduction

The following is a list of known high-severity issues in this release. In general, these issues are edge cases most users will not encounter. Currently, these issues are on the roadmap for the next release of the Platform.

APIs and Integration

API ERROR "Can't lease document XXXX. The document is not up to date."
A known issue exists where large numbers (e.g. tens or hundreds) of POST calls in a short period attempt to update the same document using the REST API. This results in some calls returning an error message: "Can't lease document 10339:1091716-1. The document is not up to date." The workaround is to add some delay between the POST calls updating the same document (e.g. the same Work Order Number) to allow the system to make the change and release the lease before the next API call arrives.

Bids and Budgets

Deleting bid detail with $0 amounts throws DOC ID 10346 no rights error
A known issue exists where attempting to delete a Bid Detail when the user does not have access to the W/O Type (via W/O Type Classes) of the associated W/O Transaction causes an error, "Save failed: Attempt to edit document without rights 10346. [JmWoTransaction..."

Row ID is not known Error When Entering Budget Details Window- Inconsistent
A known issue exists where opening the Budget Details window from inside a Bid Detail sometimes causes the error, "'An error has occurred. Row ID {number} is not known.'" This issue occurs in one specific client site and has not yet been replicated internally. [10743 / zd24527]

Load Template as Bid Details Is Not Working
A known issue exists where W/O Templates are not being loaded when a Bid Detail is assigned a Resource, when the resource's Scheduling Group is configured with a W/O Template and the Load Template option has 'Order Transactions', 'Bid Details', and 'Bid Approval' options all selected. Duplicating Search List Layout as Layout Type Report, turns all Fields into expression fields
A known issue exists where duplicating a Layout for a SearchList document (such as BidDetailSearchList, DocID 615) and changing the layout Type to Report turns all Fields into expression fields. In addition, the Data binding dropdown for these expression fields is missing, so they display no data in the report. This problem was introduced after the v10.4 release. [11756 / zd25260]

Bid Collections do not show Actuals and ETC (WIP) Amounts
A known issue exists where the Bid Collections document always displays 0 for the Actual Amount and ETC Amount fields for each Bid in the collection. [11878 / zd25289]

Auto Loading Actuals That Add Items to Not On Original Bid header do NOT use Bid Unit Type
A known issue exists where auto-loading Actuals to a Bid causes items not in the original Bid Header to use the Bid Unit Type field from the Order Transaction instead of the Bid Unit Type of the Billing Code. [12176 / zd25642]

Billing - Invoicing

Billing code "Combine on Invoice" and "Package Type: Total: Detail invoice" interfere with each other and create inaccurate pre-invoice
A known issue exists where using a Billing Code with the Combine on Invoice option selected/checked and the Package Type option set to "Total: Detail invoice" causes some transactions to be included in the “-Incl w/ Pkg-” row when they should not be. The workaround is to avoid using these two settings together in the same Billing Code. [10556 / zd25571]

Framework - UX

Deleting a child record ONLY does not update the Primary Table's Date/User Changed fields
A known issue exists where deleting a child record of a main document without changing any information on the main document itself does not update the main document's Date Changed/User Changed values. For example, when deleting a Work Order Split Billing Row without modifying any Work Order fields, the system does not update the Date Changed or User Changed fields of the Work Order. The workaround is to check the Change Log (from the Action menu, under Document, click Log), but this also affects sites that utilize webhooks or Event Triggers to notify an external system when a document changes. Groups

Group Resource list opens very slow from the navigator, appears frozen for a minute
A known issue exists where opening the Group Resource List using a Layout that includes the Scheduler (timeline) control takes a long time (approximately 20 seconds or more). The workaround is to use only layouts that do not have the Scheduler control when viewing the Group Resources List directly, versus viewing the Group Resources List from inside of a particular Work Order, Media Order, or Transmission Order. Media Order

Cannot add service to package when MO has multiple packaged profiles from the same service ID loaded
A known issue exists where a Service Header in a Media Order containing two or more Package service rows with the same service/profile/spec does not save any changes to the Package Header field of the Service Header made by the user. [1484 / zd12790]

MO Service Status Not Updating As Expected
A known issue exists where loading a Service Template in a Media Order may not correctly set the Service Detail Row status of a subsequent Service automatically if one or more services should have a Dependency on a preceding service. This occurs when the user changes the Order Phase to a phase in which Service Status is set to Ready before setting the Dependency values between the services. The workaround is to always set the Dependency values before changing the Order Phase. [12301 / zd25677]

Usability of Media Order - Marking Dependencies and Arrowing Down
A known issue exists where using arrow keys to rapidly edit the values of the Dependency field on different rows in the Services grid of the Media Order document causes inconsistent field behavior; the new value may replace the existing value as intended, be ignored, or be appended to the existing value. The workaround is to move between fields slowly enough for the control to initialize the editor and apply any changes correctly.

Purchase Order

How / When to Recompute PO Detail
A known issue exists where only certain changes to a Media Order automatically update the PO rate and cost of a Purchase Order, including the following:

Service Row: Length, Format, Service, Profile
Source: Format, Source Length, Title Length
Source Target: Source Length, Title Length

The workaround is to select a Service Row in the Media Order, and use the Refresh PO Costs action (in Actions under Media Purchasing) to update the PO for that Service Row.

Rental

Pasting 50 Rental Groups Stuck Processing
A known issue exists in the Rental Check In/Check Out functionality where pasting more than 50 rows of data into the Details grid causes the system to stop responding. The system will now allow pasting up to 500 rows into the Details grid. [10540 / zd24248]

Resources

Cannot do a Scheduling - Scheduling Resource generic search.
A known issue exists with the Scheduling Resource search when Qualifications are added as a criteria option, the Qualifications list contains many items, and a user performs a Search without specifying any criteria, the system returns an error message, "The incoming request has too many parameters." The workaround is to use one Layout that does not have Qualifications as a criteria for general searches and a separate Layout for searches that include Qualifications criteria. [11829 / zd25274]

Revised Work Order Resource Times Not Calculating Correctly
A known issue exists where the Billing Unit and Billing Amount on an Order Transaction are not always calculated correctly when the Start Time and/or End Time are revised before reconciliation. A workaround is to check the Billing Unit and Billing Amount after any changes to time values. [11566 / zd25233]

Roster - Time Off

173901 - Edit Roster Pop Out Does Not Inherit Roster Day Document Rights Set Up
A known issue exists where a Roster Transaction Type was grayed out when opened by using the double-click option. The workaround is to right-click the Roster block and click Edit Roster when changing the Transaction Type. [703 / zd11676]

Schedule Book

Schedule Book Menu Gets Cut Off By Edge of Screen
A known issue exists where right-clicking a booking block that ends close to the right edge of the Schedule Book displays the right-click menu in an unreadable location. The workaround is to click the block further to the left so the menu is visible.

Time Card

New Activities Line Added to Time Card Batches Differs by Batch
A known issue exists where editing a Time Card Batch and adding a row to the Standard Activities grid by clicking the Append a New Record (+) button does not create the row where expected, which can affect the default values. The workaround is to always use the Insert a New Record button instead. [9684 / zd24810]

Time Card Activity Log entries recorded with incorrect Activity date
A known issue exists where the Time Log Activity within a Time Card Batch can display per-day totals for the batch on days that do not match the per-day totals for rows in the Activities list. This seems to occur when the batch period spans a date on which Daylight Saving Time changes. For example, the total for Weds 25th September 2024 in the Activity list may display on Tuesday 24th September 2024 in the Time Log Activity header. [12146 / zd25631]

Work Orders

Work Orders Search and Filter Screens Displaying Sales Office From Other Divisions
A known issue exists where the system was not correctly limiting the visibility of Sales Office entries assigned to specific Divisions from a user that does not have access to those Divisions in Work Orders Search and Filters Screens. (The search results should still omit any Work Orders to which the user does not have access.) [11990 / zd25567]
