Customer Instructions for Logo and Background

Welcome to our guide on customizing your logo and background for non-Xytech hosted systems. If you are hosted by Xytech and require assistance with logo or background configuration, please submit a request through our support team.

For on-premise customers, please follow the instructions below carefully to ensure your changes are applied correctly. Starting from version 11, you can add logos to both the login page and the Navigator, with support for different logos per division.

Logo on the Login Screen

• Filename: Name the file logo.png.
• File Type: PNG.
• Preferred Size: 250 x 64 pixels.

Instructions:

1. Copy logo.png to the following directory: [Mediapulse site folder]\Sky\Isotopes\build\[SITECODE]\images\login.

2. Create any necessary folders if they do not exist.

3. Ensure that mediapulseappserver.config.txt in the root folder contains the following line:

   DB_[DB Name]_[SITECODE]=XXX.X
   • [DB Name] is the database name.
   • [SITECODE] must match the folder where the logo was copied.

Logo on the Navigation Panel

• Filename: Use any name you prefer; it will be set in the config.
• File Type: PNG.
• Width Size: 180 x 60 pixels (height will auto-size).

Instructions:

1. Ensure mediapulseappserver.config.txt in the root folder contains the following line:

   SKY_LOGO_FILENAME=custom/[SITECODE]/[SITECODE]_logo.png

2. Copy the logo file to [Mediapulse site folder]\Sky\Content\images\custom\[SITECODE]_logo.png.

3. Create any necessary folders if they do not exist.

4. Copy and replace mediapulseappserver.config.txt from the root folder to sky\app_data.

5. Make a backup copy of the previous file to prevent accidental issues.

Division Logo (Available from v11)

• Filename:
  • For a single company structure: corplogo_div_(division_code).png
  • For multiple companies: corplogo_(company_no)_div_(division_code).png
• File Type: PNG.
• Width Size: 180 pixels (height will auto-size).

If your organizational structure consists of only one company (i.e., using only one Xytech database for all divisions), use this naming convention:

• corplogo_div_(division_code).png
  The (division_code)value represents each division’s user-defined Code Field value in the System Module’s Divisions Setup Window. The convention eliminates the need to reference-specific companies since only one company exists and the system accesses only one database.
• If your organizational structure uses multiple companies that access multiple Xytech databases (as defined in the System Module’s Companies Setup Window), use this naming convention:
  corplogo_(company_no)_div_(division_code).png
  The (company_no) value represents each company’s system-assigned ID Field value in the Companies Setup Window. This number will tie the logo to the particular database used by the associated company.
  The (division_code)value represents each division’s user-defined Code Field value in the System Module’s Divisions Setup Window.

Background Customization

To customize your background, you can use CSS. 

The CSS file for the login screen is located: 

[Mediapulse site folder]\Sky\Isotopes\build\[SITECODE]\styles\site-login.css

Guidelines from our UX Department.

• Background Types: Can be a solid color or an image.
• Solid Color: Example: #666666 (hex color).
• File Type: PNG or JPG for images.

1. Copy  the background file to the following directory:

3. Create any necessary folders if they do not exist.

We typically use:

• Bounding Box around login: Yes or No.
• Bounding Box Color: Light or Dark.
• Transparency: 0 or 0.8.
• URL Link Colors: White or Black for contrast.

Your UX / Web Developer would know how to make further changes to the web page.
