Introduction
In the process of fine-tuning reports within the editor, users may encounter a common issue with Note fields from Mediapulse. These fields may maintain their original font and size settings from the WebUI, leading to discrepancies with other fonts and sizes when printed. This inconsistency arises because the Notes field is configured as a Rich Text field in the report.
Adjust the Notes size in the Report Editor
To ensure uniformity and maintain consistency in formatting across the report, it is recommended to utilize a Label field type instead. This allows for seamless integration of font and size selections directly within the report editor.
Below are the steps to adjust the Notes size in the Report Editor:
In the Smart Client:
- Navigate to System > Layouts and open the required Bid Form layout.
- From the left-hand panel, drag and drop the label icon (an “A” icon) onto the report to create a new field.
- Click on the newly created field to select it, triggering the appearance of a settings wheel on the right side.
- Click on the settings wheel, and expand the Data Binding to locate the desired Note field (e.g., "note_text_detail").
- Save and close. You may need to log out and back in to see the changes if this is a new layout, or simply generate a new report.
Following these steps will enable users to effectively adjust the size of Notes in the Report Editor, ensuring a seamless and consistent appearance throughout the report.
